At JoieFarm, we’ve always believed that wine is more than just what’s in the bottle—it’s a catalyst for joyful moments, a companion for long dinners that drift into late nights, and a beautiful way to connect with the people you love. Our winemaking philosophy focuses on capturing the vibrant, natural expression of the Okanagan Valley, crafting wines that are focused, intentional, and, above all, meant to be shared en famille.
That’s why we are absolutely thrilled to share some incredibly exciting news from down south. The results of the 2026 Pacific Rim Wine Competition are officially in, and our cellar team is raising a glass to celebrate an amazing lineup of wins!
Competing alongside exceptional wines from all across the Pacific Rim, our bottles truly shone this year. Here is a look at the big winners making us proud:
2023 En Famille Chardonnay – Double Gold & Best in Class White
This one is incredibly close to our hearts. “En Famille” is a French term that means spending quality time with family or close friends, and this bottle encapsulates the very core of our winery.
- The Wine: Barrel-fermented using ambient yeast to develop a deep, texturally rich complexity, with regular bâtonnage (lees stirring) over ten months. It bursts with aromas of lemon curd, wet stone, and ripe mango, leading into a generous yet perfectly poised palate of citrus, tropical fruit, and a hint of crème brûlée.
- The Accolade: Taking home Double Gold & Best in Class White is a huge testament to the vineyards that grew this fruit. It’s rich, elegant, beautifully balanced by bright acidity, and structured to age beautifully.
2023 PTG – Double Gold
Our flagship red has done it again! If you’ve visited us on the Naramata Bench, you know our deep love for the classic Passe-Tout-Grains style.
- The Wine: This is where the elegance of Pinot Noir dances beautifully with Gamay’s playful, rustic spice. It is uniquely Okanagan—bright, structured, and wildly expressive, with gorgeous notes of red cherry, wild mushroom, and earthy spices.
- The Accolade: Earning a Double Gold reminds us why this blend remains the ultimate heart and soul of our red wine program. It’s exactly the kind of juicy, complex red you want on the table for backyard barbecues and casual family dinners alike.
2023 Plein De Vie – Silver Medal
“Plein de Vie” translates to Full of Life, and that is exactly how we approach this bottle.
- The Wine: This is our vibrant, Prosecco-style bubble. It’s clean, fresh, and bursting with expressive notes of fresh strawberry, crisp citrus, and fun tropical undertones.
- The Accolade: Winning a Silver Medal, this is your ultimate go-to sparkling wine for afternoons that turn into evenings, impromptu toasts, and celebrating life’s everyday moments.
2024 Un-Oaked Chardonnay – Silver Medal
For those who love their white wines crisp, vibrant, and pure, this one is for you. We love showing off just how bright and expressive Okanagan fruit can be when left completely unadorned.

The Wine: Fermented entirely in stainless steel, this wine skips the oak barrels to let the natural brilliance of the grape shine through. It is wonderfully fresh and crunchy, packed with mouthwatering flavours of green apple, juicy pear, and a zip of bright citrus acidity that keeps you coming back for another sip.

2022 En Famille Smethurst Pinot Noir – Silver Medal
- The Wine: A true expression of place, this single-vineyard Pinot Noir delivers beautiful depth, bright red fruit structure, and a lingering touch of earthy spice. It’s thoughtful, focused, and a perfect snapshot of a fantastic vintage.
