Easter is a celebration of renewal, the arrival of spring, and—of course—gathering around a table. Whether you’re hosting a casual backyard brunch, a formal Sunday roast, or a spontaneous picnic, the right wine doesn’t just complement the food; it sets the mood.
At JoieFarm, our wines are inspired by the classic varieties of Alsace and Burgundy, but rooted in the unique terroir of the Okanagan Valley. Their signature bright acidity and fresh fruit profiles make them “the ultimate table wines”—versatile enough to handle everything from salty appetizers to savoury meats.
Here is how we’re pouring JoieFarm throughout the Easter long weekend.
Brunch calls for freshness. Tiny Bubbles offers a tropical, clean palate that cuts through rich egg dishes or buttery pastries. If you prefer a soft, Prosecco-style lift, the Plein De Vie brings vibrant strawberry and citrus notes that feel like spring in a glass. These are the “Swiss Army Knives” of the weekend—they pair with almost everything on a brunch spread.
If you’re looking for a white wine with a bit more weight but zero “oakiness,” our Un-Oaked Chardonnay is the answer. It trades heavy barrel flavours for pure, bright fruit and a beautiful mineral texture. It’s the perfect partner for the “green” flavours of the season (think pea shoots, asparagus, or a spring risotto) providing a clean, elegant lift to the start of your meal. Plus – this wine was just awarded Silver at Chardonnay-du-Monde, and 92 points from Decanter!
For many, Easter dinner is a dance between salt and sugar. Our signature A Noble Blend is the ultimate “everything wine”; it has the aromatic intensity and hint of fruit sweetness to balance a honey-mustard glaze or a savoury roast. If your meal leans into more exotic spices or aromatic herbs, the En Famille Gewürztraminer offers a textured, floral depth that stands up beautifully to bolder flavours.
Heavy, high-alcohol reds can often overwhelm fresh spring ingredients. Instead, look for wines with “lift.” Our PTG (a classic blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay) is light enough to be served with a slight chill, making it exceptional with pork or poultry. If you’re grilling lamb or beef, the 2024 Malbec provides the necessary structure and dark fruit while maintaining the elegance and acidity JoieFarm is known for.
Happy Easter from the JoieFarm Team!
