Real talk: if you’ve ever kicked off a wine tour in Penticton feeling slightly overwhelmed, the BC Wine Information Centre has probably saved you. Their team has been the unofficial Wine Whisperers of the region for three decades now, and honestly? We’re here for it.
This place isn’t your typical wine shop. Think of it as that friend who actually knows things—the one who’ll hand you a map, point you toward hidden gems among 150+ local wineries, and maybe sneak you a taste before you head out. They’ve been our partners in getting people excited about wine tourism in Naramata, and we couldn’t ask for better allies in showing off what this region can do.
The 30th anniversary lineup is genius
They’re throwing monthly parties on the 30th (starting January 30th with bubbles and bites, because of course). Then wine seminars for when you want to sound smart at dinner parties. More than just a retail space
Here’s the part that matters: the BC Wine Information Society runs as a non-profit, and they’ve funneled $300,000 back into Okanagan College programs and scholarships for viticulture students. They’re literally investing in the future of BC wine while helping you discover it today.
